AOA Seeking Feedback on New Comprehensive Pediatric Eye Examination Guideline

The American Optometric Association (AOA) is asking for public feedback on a new evidence-based clinical practice guideline for pediatric eye examinations.

The Comprehensive Pediatric Eye and Vision Examination is now available online for a 30-day peer and public review period. The guideline reportedly details appropriate exam procedures for evaluating the eye health and vision status of infants and children to help reduce the risk of vision loss and facilitate normal vision development.

Comments will be accepted now through June 18, 2016, and the finished guideline will be available later in 2016.
