Australian optometrists have reportedly found that increased exposure to outdoor light can help reduce myopia in children.
The researchers from the Queensland University of Technology's School of Optometry and Vision Science found children who spent more than an hour — preferably two — outdoors helped prevent myopia from developing and progressing. They also found that although greater access to technology screens are a large factor in keeping kids indoors, those screens are not a direct cause for increased incidences of myopia.
