Blackfin
New from Blackfin are four new models for the Blackfin Lamina PLUS collection, where cellulose acetate combines with beta-titanium in a clever. New female style Roseway BF810 has slightly elongated oval eye-rims and a color range that plays on contrasts, such as opaque dark grey/opaque yellow ochre and opaque titanium/dark tortoiseshell. And for men, new style Lockeport BF803 (pictured right) has a slight panto feel embellished by chunky rounded eye-rims, while Rockland BF805 and Jedway BF804 are both square-shaped frames whose shape harks back to the original design of the brand.
ClearVision Optical
New from ClearVision Optical is the newest sub-collection for Aspire Eyewear called Aspire Titanium — 12 new eyewear styles created with a proprietary manufacturing process that reduces the overall frame weight to just 13 grams. Six women's styles include Kind — the smallest sized frame in the collection that provides a precise fit for petite-featured women — Passionate with an uplifting, modified oval shape, and Amazing with a deep square eye shape. Other women's styles include the modified rectangle-shaped Joyous, modern cat-eye Charming, and trend cat-eye Sassy. The six men's styles include Clever with a wearable rectangle eye shape, Confident (pictured left) with a bold rectangle eye shape, and Honest featuring a modified rectangular eye shape and a retro keyhole bridge. Brave is an on-trend modified round frame with a unique keyhole bridge design, while Generous has an easy-to-wear modified square eye shape and Courageous features a fashion-forward square eye shape.
EVATIK
EVATIK recently launched two new summer styles that combine interesting textures, refined finishes and luxury details with a clean design. New style E-9148 is for those looking for a linear yet elegant style, featuring a laser treatment on the temples that creates a brushed, textured finish, while the custom designed rivet hinge and metal end cap give the frame a luxurious, vintage look. And a sophisticated laser treatment is used on the front and temples of new style E-9149 (pictured right) — an acetate style with a modern twist to a retro-inspired look.
Kenmark Eyewear
New from Kenmark Eyewear are four new optical styles for Lilly Pulitzer Girls. Fanning (pictured left) is a chic, round oversize zyl style available in Flamingo Tortoise, Indigo and Sky Tortoise, while Brit is a rectangular cat-eye zyl style available in Eggplant, Havana Periwinkle, and Tortoise Lime. Livie is a full zyl style available in Aqua Tortoise, Green Tortoise or Ocean Tortoise, and Open is a chic full zyl style available in Aqua Granite, Cherry Granite and Navy Granite.
And Kenmark has also recently introduced six new core styles for Vera Wang. Style V500 is a modern full rim zyl with a keyhole bridge and beautiful mix of pattern and solid color acetates on the temples, while V501 is a full zyl style available in Berry Tortoise, Black Tortoise, Sapphire Tortoise, and Tortoise. V503 is a feminine zyl frame with an oversize feel and distinctive metal temples inspired by styles from the runway, and V505 is a feminine oval full zyl style with thin metal temples. New style V507 is a cat-eye full zyl style with carving detailing on the front exposing rich acetate colors, and V511 is a semi-rimless flat metal style with thin metal temples.
KLiiK denmark
KLiiK denmark recently launched three new styles for Summer 2017 that blend innovative patterns, attractive color combinations and original finishes. Metal frame K-590 (pictured right) won’t go unnoticed thanks to the unexpected plaid pattern that is transferred by pad printing onto the front and the temples. Model K-591 features a monobloc stainless steel front that results in a stronger, more durable frame. And style K-596 exhibits a P3 shape with a subtle keyhole bridge, and is handcrafted from ultra-thin, high-density acetate.
KOMONO
New from KOMONO is its Core and Crafted sunglasses collections for Fall/Winter 2017 that explore the extraordinary landscape of Iceland. For the Core collections, the new NEUTRØ Series combines carbon neutral technology with eco-friendly, durable and well-designed materials to offer a new spin on four classic KOMONO styles. The four-piece Finley & Hollis capsule series features stainless steel frames and temples finished in two sophisticated colors. Classic meets contrast in the Memphis Metal Series, featuring dramatic red and blue matte finishing with yellow gradient lenses. And the Rose Quartz collection (pictured left) evokes love, feminine strength and fertility, with a warm translucent pink frame is complemented by a cool translucent turquoise temple.
And in the FW17 Crafted collection, the all-new Scarlet design, from tips to frame, everything about these sunglasses is strictly red, while the Boris features a confident and refine design that is a cool compliment to just about any outfit. New style Billie is a modern reinterpretation of the retro cat-eye design, while the Racer White series features a sporty design with a uniquely colorful and bold statement. And the Rose Gold series uses a subtle variation of rose gold hues across the tips, temples, and lenses themselves.
Maui Jim
Maui Jim has partnered with Vinylize to create a limited-edition sunglass called Hula Blues (pictured right), handcrafted from vinyl records. The design is inspired by the original vintage printing of the sheet music booklet for the Hawaiian classic Hula Blues from 1923. The Hula Blues sunglass frame fuse Vinylize’s proprietary production with Maui Jim’s patented PolarizedPlus2® lens technology to introduce the ultimate combination of expression, vision, and style. Available in Neutral Grey and HCL Bronze lens colors, this new frame is intended to offer a timeless look while enhancing the world’s true colors and vivid details.
MYKITA
Two futuristic sun shields with fresh neon contouring have joined MYKITA's HYBRID range (pictured left). Playing the central role is a small, multi-functional MYLON part that showcases MYKITA’s expertise in combining handcraft and high-tech. Primarily a nose piece, it also holds the lens in place, gives the frame tension and delivers the distinctive HYBRID aesthetic as a styling element. A rounded bottom profile gives ALOE a refined fashion look, while the expansive front on YARROW makes a strong statement.
Plan “B” Eyewear
New from Plan “B” Eyewear is the introduction of the children's optical collection Nano GLOW (pictured right), featuring favorite designs from the Nano Vista collection with glow-in-the-dark temples. The frames are made from the same patented Siliflex™ material that makes these frames flexible, lightweight and indestructible. And while the littlest patients will get the fun of having glow-in-the-dark frames, these new temples make it easier to find frames in the dark and allow for better visibility of children playing in low-light conditions.
Silhouette
Silhouette’s newest rimless eyewear collection, Inspire, (pictured left) is defined by contrasts and colors. The new collection features eight models available in eight lens shapes and colors, with more vibrant hues for women and more subdued for men. Each style is made from a combination of metal and SPX plastic, and the hinge is concealed by the decorative part of the temple for a refined look. And each style can be enhanced by 10 percent tinted lenses.
And Silhouette recently announced three upcoming adidas Sport eyewear styles that will be available this month. The new beyonder is tailored to perfectly fit the female head shape, and blends fashion and sport into one with an ultra-lightweight design and adjustable nose pads. And new styles wayfinder and protean are a balanced fusion of timeless design and understated technology, featuring a minimalistic and highly-reduced approach. All three new styles are prescription-ready and available in seven different color and filter combinations.
Tekā Eyewear
During the upcoming Vision Expo West, Tekā Eyewear plans to expand its wood and buffalo horn collection with two new vintage-inspired styles that combine exotic woods with sleek metals and classic shapes. New style TK165 (pictured right) features a lustrous buffalo horn brow insertion for an easily adjustable and fashionable feature, and intricate engravings of the bridge and temple for added elegance. And new style TK166 displays the natural colors of the exotic bocote wood, featuring an unadulterated brow piece that draws inspiration from nature and organic elements while conceiving a sophisticated and modern design.
Zyloware Eyewear
Zyloware Eyewear has a number of new releases for August, such as the new M282 for Sophia Loren — a semi-rimless frame with a classic, modified oval shape offered in Gold and Mocha — and new MaxStudio.com style 157M, featuring a semi-rimless metal frame available in two distinctive colors for endless wardrobe options. Two new styles for Shaquille O'Neal include semi-rimless metal frame 128M offered in two bold colors, and 130Z for the guy who wants to look good on and off the court. New for Stetson is full rim metal frame 343 featuring a double brow bar for added style, and XL 30 — a full rim zyl frame that incorporates the All-American, masculine appeal of the Stetson man.
August sees the launch of three new styles for Randy Jackson — the full-rimmed bold and fashionable 1078; full rim zyl 3033 offered in three on-trend colors; and 3035 designed for the confident man who is looking to take his style to the next level. And there's four new styles for Leon Max, including combination frame 4047 with a metal rim and zyl brow, and full rim zyl frame 4048 available in Black, Celadon, Ginger and Raison. New Leon Max 4049 is a modern cat-eye frame meant for the refined, modern-day woman, and 4050 (pictured left) is the little black dress of eyewear — perfect for any event or occasion and always makes the wearer look their best.
