Area98
Area98 will introduce its new La Matta eyewear collection at Silmo 2016 in Paris later this month. La Matta is an anthem to the modern and sensual woman — a mysterious woman who likes to transform herself by showing her strong personality through the accessories she wears. A prime example of the new La Matta collection is style LM3186 (pictured right), which uses slightly accentuated thickness at the temples to create an unusual cat-eye effect in a square metal front. The animal-themed acetate temples are decorated with small, colored inserts at the hinges. And this same motif can be seen in model LM3185, which is made entirely of acetate.
Blackfin
Blackfin will preview its Autumn/Winter 2016-2017 collection at Silmo. The new designs — a mix of optical frames and sunglasses — favor rounded shapes and unisex designs, such as the Saint Martin BF769 (pictured left) with a double-arched bridge, 1980s inspired shape, and either natural shiny or satin titanium finish. All Blackfin frames are made of titanium and beta-titanium with Swordfish temple tips whose break-off guides make it possible to shorten the temples in three simple moves.
Eastern States Eyewear
New from Eastern States Eyewear are six new optical styles for its Diva Eyewear collection (pictured right). Five metals and one acetate style comprise the latest collection, while meticulous details such as ripple or layered metal work couples with flowing temple contours and Austrian Swarovski crystals cut in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors. Frame styles feature a mix of progressive shapes, including modified pentagons and upswept rectangles. And colors feature a mix of gold and silver bases mixed with brown leopard print, navy, black and wine.
Kingsley Rowe
New from Kingsley Rowe is the "Fall in Love" Fall/Winter 2016 collection (pictured left), scheduled to debut at Vision Expo West this week. Created to celebrate the rich colors and textures of fall — from changing leaves to rich oak trees — the collection features warm marble shades together with crystal hues and rich metal detailing, plus sun lenses in solid and ombré shades. The collection features five new unisex styles with two styles available in both sun and optical versions.
Marcolin
Marcolin has recently introduced the Fall/Winter 2016-2017 eyewear collection for women from Roberto Cavalli, featuring bold color contrasts and a mix of materials blended with precious details. New optical styles include the retro style RC5001 with Swarovski crystals and allusions to the art of Florence goldsmiths, and the RC5010 (pictured right) with a rectangular silhouette highlighted by bold acetate profiles and curved temples. The corners of model RC5008 are emphasized with an extraordinary snake effect, and this snake theme is also carried into models RC5017 — where the metal body of a wrapped snake is completely covered with micro Swarovski crystals — and RC5020, where the iconic snake motif defines the metal profile of its temples. There are also four new styles in the sunglass collection, including RC1012 that echoes the same iconic snake motif and RC1013 that reinterprets the timeless aviator design. The new RC1014 merges different materials together to create a frame front with a modern design, and RC1015 feature a large cat-eye shape with innovative stylistic touches.
Nouveau Eyewear
Nouveau Eyewear recently debuted new styles for its Cantera Eyewear collection, which is inspired by sport and features vibrant colors and athletic shapes for boys, girls, young men and women. The new Defense style (pictured left) features camouflage temples in three on-trend colorways with a sleek front flatters virtually any face shape, available in black blue or gray. And Rebound has a classic rectangular front and broad temples, with each temple tip featuring a sporty design accent, available in black or navy.
OGI Eyewear
OGI Eyewear recently launched the Barrymore (pictured right) — an elegant neoclassical design by Seraphin for its fall collection. Meticulously handcrafted in a flattering feminine silhouette from the finest acetate, the Barrymore features a contemporary colorway, high-gloss finish, and silver detailing for a vintage flair. This frame is the ideal pair for a professional with an eye for serious style.
Plan B Eyewear
Plan B Eyewear has added some new frame models to its Glacee line for this fall (pictured left). The two new frame styles feature sleek, rounded eye shapes for a flattering, feminine look. Both frames incorporate TR-90 on the frame fronts, allowing for brilliant colors such as red, purple, blue or brown. Depending on which way the light catches these frames, they will appear to glow with amazing color, causing the frames to look different from all angles. And the designs of both frames are finished with stainless steel for a streamlined finish.
Safilo Group
New from Safilo Group's Max Mara collection are two new women's sunglass models that are full of energy and character, both in terms of shapes and colors. The ILDE I (pictured right) features a 20s-inspired cat-eye silhouette with a unique metal construction inspired by Bauhaus' timeless design. And the ILDE II has a soft, oversize shape highlighted by an acetate brow bar in shades of black, ivory, red and brown.
The Fall/Winter 2016-2017 collection for Fendi celebrates elegance with subtle and unique geometric architectures, enhanced by unexpected color combinations and a subtle feeling of lightness. The LEI sunglasses and optical frames feature both cat-eye and squared models the define modern elegance and femininity with geometric lines and skinny volumes. The EYELINE sunglasses feature pure geometric shapes enhanced by the slim lines of metal and steel, while the BE YOU sunglasses blend together two different materials in squared and rounded shapes with outstanding contrasts, transparent hues and vivid colors.
Givenchy also recently introduced its Fall/Winter 2016 eyewear collection, featuring unisex and oversized shapes with a mix of materials. The collection features four stylistic groups — Style with avant-garde pieces with architectural and strong shapes; Icons that are refined frames combining Givenchy DNA and current trends; Star with timeless shapes featuring the iconic "star" detail; and Rave for edgy, urban styles with bright colors and an audacious materials mix. And within all four groups the color palette comprises classic shades and edgy color contrasts reinforced by metallic injections.
Zimco Optics
Zimco Optics® has recently added to their exclusive English Laundry™ couture Eyewear and Sunwear collections. Inspired by Britain's grey skies, rich history, local pubs, industrial landscape, and the underground music scene, the English Laundry Eyewear and Sunwear Collections capture the spirit of Manchester in every style. Additionally, English Laundry embraces the trend of natural/organic materials in eyewear by incorporating them into several styles, such as the Hooky (pictured left) and Stephen with real leather temples, the Swift and Wheeler featuring bamboo temples, the Diagram and Wrigley with real mahogany temples, and the Steele frame derived from naturally occurring titanium.
Zyloware Eyewear
Zyloware Eyewear is launching a variety of new frames for October 2016. For Sophia Loren, the elegant and feminine M277 semi-rimless metal frame is available in Petite Fit Sizing for women with smaller features, while the Beau Rivage 77 frame comes in gold or cognac with unique, decorative detailing such as floral cutouts and crystal embellishments. For men, there's the new 330 full rim metal frame from Stetson with a rectangular shape for a classic look, and the 3031 full rim, zyl frame from the Randy Jackson collection that draws attention directly to the wearers' eyes. From the Shaquille O'Neal collection, frame 116Z is a full rim plastic frame with an edgy geometric shape. And new from Leon Max Limited Edition are full rim, zyl frame 6016 with a stylish round shape that is perfect for everyday wear, and the full rim, metal frame 6017 (pictured right) with a fashion-forward oval shape for a truly on-trend look.
