Optometry and ophthalmic instrument supplier Grafton Optical has announced the upcoming launch of TonoVue-P by Crystalvue at 100% Optical 2020. 100% Optical 2020 is organized in partnership with the Association of Optometrists (AOP) and will take place on 25-27 January 2020 at London’s ExCel.
TonoVue-P is an automatic, touch screen, non-contact tonometer with pachymetry that integrates intraocular pressure (IOP) and corneal thickness (CCT) measurements in one device. The system features fully automated 3D eye-tracking and soft air puff for fast and comfortable measurement with reliable accuracy. A built-in software controls the amount of air required for each eye and achieves a softer and quieter air puff. Intelligent 3D tracking ensures that measurements are taken quickly and that the effects of the patient movement can be minimized.
Grafton also announces the nomination of IDRA Ocular Surface Analyser by SBM Sistemi as Product of the Year at the AOP Awards 2020, celebrating excellence in optics. IDRA allows detailed structural analysis of the lipid, aqueous and mucin layers of the tear film composition and allows the operator to identify not only the quality and quantity of a patient’s tear film but also the type of Dry Eye disease present.
The AOP Awards is hosted by the Association of Optometrists (AOP) to recognize exceptional contributions made by individuals and teams across the UK.
