Primary Eyecare Network Offering Two Free Workshops in September Focused on Optical Coherence Tomography
ALAMEDA, Calif. (August 3, 2017) – Primary Eyecare Network (PEN), a division of ABB OPTICAL GROUP, is offering two free workshops focused on optical coherence tomography (OCT) on Wednesday, September 6 and Thursday, September 7.
Presented by Mile Brujic, OD, FAAO, the workshops will offer attendees the opportunity to explore OCT technology, its clinical applications and how it has revolutionized patient care.
An hour of continuing education credit is pending approval from the Council on Optometric Practitioner Education.
The September 6 workshop will be at Scribner Bend Vineyards, 9051 River Road in Sacramento, and theSeptember 7 workshop will be at Lawrence Hall of Science, 1 Centennial Drive in Berkeley.
Both workshops will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres will be served.

September 24: Eyes of America Optometric Seminar in Ohio Offers Eight Hours of Continuing Education Credits
ALAMEDA, Calif. (August 4, 2017) – The annual Eyes of America Fall Seminar will take place on Sunday, September 24 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.at the Marriott & Residence Inn in Columbus, Ohio, located at 3100 Olentangy River Road. It is presented by Primary Eyecare Network (PEN), a division of ABB OPTICAL GROUP that recently merged with Diversified Opthalmics' ECP Network, the historical presenter of the program.
Participants will learn from industry experts and earn eight hours of optometric continuing education credits.
The morning session will cover advanced procedures in glaucoma surgery, glaucoma pharmaceuticals updates and ocular trauma triage and treatments. The afternoon session will cover reading, literacy acquisition and cortical reorganization and pediatric clinical practice guidelines.
Speakers include Elizabeth Muckley, O.D., F.A.A.O. of Northeast Ohio Eye Surgeons and Michael Earley, O.D., PhD, of The Ohio State University College of Optometry.
The morning session costs $170 and the afternoon session costs $145. The cost for participants who plan to attend the full day is $250.
