Here’s a look at the latest news in practice management, electronic health record (EHR) and patient engagement technologies. 

  • Solutionreach recently launched its new product, SR Smart Reviews, which reportedly allows practices to identify and send patients text messages encouraging them to leave positive reviews online. The new product reportedly works to help practices build stronger patient relationships, enhance their online presence, and increase revenue by attracting more patients.
  • EyeCare Prime, a subsidiary of CooperVision, recently unveiled Prime NexusSM — a next-generation, cloud-based patient relationship management system with the aim of helping to foster more effective patient engagement and help drive practice growth. Reportedly developed exclusively for optometry, Prime Nexus offers a simple, intuitive user interface, enhanced functionality and new features to better meet the needs of today’s eye care practices and their digitally connected patients.   • CareCloud recently introduced CareCloud Telemedicine — a cloud-based, pay-per-visit telemedicine solution. The fully-integrated solution reportedly includes built-in insurance eligibility checking and scheduling tools, a unique pay-per-visit pricing model, and one-click activation.
  • MacPractice, Inc. has released its next generation practice management and clinical software, macOS Sierra and El Capitan compatible MacPractice 20/20 Gen 7 for eye care professionals. And compatible versions of MacPractice's interoperating Patient Check In, Clipboard and iEHR Apps for iPad are on Apple's App Store for MacPractice Gen 7 users.
  • Primary Eyecare Network (PEN), a division of ABB Optical Group, recently added a Gateway Professional Network (GPN) to its vendor panel. GPN is reportedly a provider of performance management solutions for eye care professionals, and is now offering PEN members special pricing on its EDGEPro™ analysis software.   • iMatrix recently announced a new partnership with Vision West, reportedly giving Vision West members access to the marketing solutions provided by iMatrix and related promotional offers and benefits.
