CooperVision, Inc. recently announced it is reportedly the first major contact lens manufacturer to join The Vision Council, it has added online patient enrollment for contact lens subscription service LensFerry® S, and CooperVision Americas President Jerry Warner was recently honored by the Optometric Center of New York (OCNY).
CooperVision reportedly joined The Vision Council as part of its broad commitment to engaging and educating eye care professionals on clinical and marketplace advances. Additionally, the company believes it is essential for contact lenses to be represented in The Vision Council's research, education and advocacy efforts.

LensFerry S recently added an option for online patient enrollment to help increase the likelihood of patient participation and practice sales. Wearers can reportedly sign up and order their lenses from any connected device. Staff can also enter patients into the system following an on-site exam or appointment, or they can enter a patient's information and prescription later, triggering an email be sent to the patient with contact lens product and pricing details.

And the board of trustees of OCNY, the foundation of the SUNY College of Optometry, recently honored Warner at its signature Eyes on New York gala for his more than two decades of optometry and contact lens industry leadership and advocacy. The gala’s proceeds support vision care for indigent and working poor men, women, and children who visit the College’s University Eye Center, scholarships for outstanding students, vision science research, and community outreach programs, including vision care for the homebound throughout New York City.
