Rocking it for Optometry Giving Sight – Benefits concert by Bad Habits -
Eye Docs of Rock at SECO, March 3rd at 9:00 p.m. in Atlanta
The all-time favorite “Bad Habits - Eye Docs of Rock” band will be hosting a special benefit concert for Optometry Giving Sight in Atlanta during SECO.
The concert will mark the band’s 30 th Year Anniversary and will therefore not only be a very special performance, but it will also feature special appearances of key personalities from our optometric community including Drs. Ted McElroy, Tom Griffith, Paul Ajamian and Alan Glazier.
Michael Raies alias Jules, Band member says “This will be a night of great music, rock and fun and an opportunity to show your support for our preferred vision charity “Optometry Giving Sight”. This year we are accepting song requests and offer the opportunity for guests to get on stage with us in exchange for a pledge. We are passionate about given back to those in need, and as eye docs, we encourage everyone at SECO to come and help us to make this a memorable evening dedicated to Optometry Giving Sight.”

Funds raised will help our efforts to train more people in underserved communities to become optometrists and provide desperately needed vision care services to people in need.”
Bad Habits will also be hosting a raffle to benefit Optometry Giving Sight, offering an outstanding opportunity to win an iFusion system from OptoVue (retail value $54,450).

About the Bad Habits
Bad Habits “The EyeDocs of Rock”, the classic rock cover-band that features four Optometrists, began performing in 1987 around The Ohio State University area when three of the current members were attending the Optometry College there. They began playing the Optometry Convention circuit in 2000 and have played in New York City numerous times since then. Their contagious energy has entertained crowds for years at performances during the International Vision Expo East and West, Optometry’s Meeting of 1019 8th Street, Suite 304, Golden, CO, 80401, USA the AOA, EastWest Eye Conference at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, SECO, as well as the “Australia Party” at the Academy of Optometry Convention. 2017 marks their 30th year of performing together.

Optometry Giving Sight is the only global fundraising initiative that specifically targets the prevention of blindness and impaired vision due to uncorrected refractive error (URE) – simply the need for an eye examination and glasses.
