Bausch + Lomb's (B+L) Specialty Vision Products business has launched ScleralFil™ sterile buffered solution with no preservatives, indicated for inserting and rinsing scleral lenses.
According to B+L, ScleralFil is buffered to maintain pH, preservative-free, and has no mercury-containing ingredients that can be sensitive to some contact lens wearers. It is indicated for use to insert scleral lenses and can also be used to rinse soft (hydrophilic) and rigid gas permeable contact lenses to remove debris and traces of daily cleaner, prior to lens insertion.
