 New Book Available for Low Vision Patients

A professor from Otto-v.-Guericke University Magdeburg in Germany has written a new book for those with low vision to help explain the latest science and treatments available to them.

In Restoring Low Vision: How to Strengthen Your Potentials in Low Vision and Blindness, Dr. Bernhard A. Sabel, director of the Institute of Medical Psychology, takes a look at the most up-to-date science behind blindness and explains the latest treatments. Sabel's goal in writing the book was reportedly to provide patients and their caregivers an overview of the latest breakthroughs in vision restoration techniques. Additionally, the book discusses the emotional ramifications of vision loss and takes a holistic approach that patients can apply to their own recovery.
