Computerized vision testing systems manufacturer M&S Technologies recently announced the Glare Testing unit for its Clinical Trial Suite (CTS) complies with the ANSI standard by decreasing contrast sensitivity function by 0.1 log units across several spatial frequencies.
M&S Technologies' Clinical Trial Suite features a variety of visual acuity and contrast sensitivity protocols that can be customized to specifically meet the sponsors' trial needs. According to M&S, the glare testing option can be helpful for clinical trial sponsors to want to use how a new product impacts patients' vision under glare conditions. And the CTS Glare Testing unit operates seamlessly with any software module available in the CTS system, including contrast sensitivity testing under mesopic luminance conditions.
