The Kentucky College of Optometry (KYCO) at the University of Pikeville recently hosted local middle and high school students for its second Esports and Vision Science Academy, which included optics experiments and eyeball dissection.
During the two-day camp, students were taught how virtual reality relates to things such as visual pathway and the optics and anatomy of the eye. Additionally, students had the opportunity to code their own virtual reality program and learned various applications in virtual reality in architecture, anatomy, gaming and mechanics.
