ABB Optical Group, Paragon Vision Sciences Launch Optometry Student Challenge

ABB Optical Group is partnering with Paragon Vision Sciences to launch a new program designed to support optometry students and foster the study of contact lenses.

Called the Optometry Student Challenge, the program will award travel grants of $1,500 each to three third-year students to attend the 2017 Global Specialty Lens Symposium (GSLS) and present a scientific poster on a topic related to contact lenses.

Interested third-year students are invited to register their intent to take part in the challenge no later than Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at the Optometry Student Challenge webpage. Registered students will then have until October 31, 2016 to submit an abstract on their proposed poster topic through the same webpage. Abstracts must focus on study projects or student-based case histories related to contact lenses. Abstracts will be judged with five finalists selected -- the finalists will be required to convert their abstracts into scientific posters for further judging, and the top three posters will be selected by December 2, 2016.
