The Sjögren’s Syndrome Foundation (SSF) has released reportedly the first-ever U.S. clinical practice guidelines for ocular management of patients with Sjögren’s.
According to SSF, the guidelines were developed to "ensure quality and consistency of care for the assessment and management of patients." The guidelines include a set of key screening questions for dry eye disease and a treatment algorithm based upon severity level and response to therapy.
