De Rigo Vision Purchases REM Eyewear

De Rigo Vision Purchases REM Eyewear

De Rigo Vision recently announced it had signed an agreement to purchase complete ownership of REM Eyewear — one of the largest eyewear distributors in the American market.

The purchase is reportedly part of De Rigo Vision's strategic plan for further international expansion and to reinforce the Group's distribution platform on the American market. American sales will be consolidated into a single organization, De Rigo REM, allowing for the sale of De Rigo brands through its distribution channels.

Founded in 1953, REM Eyewear is based in Los Angeles and sells frames and sunglasses under such brands as Converse, John Varvatos, Lucky Brand, Jones New York, TUMI, Cosmopolitan, Spine and Jonathan Adler. De Rigo designs, produces and distributes high-end eyewear and sunwear with brands including Furla, Lanvin, Carolina Herrera New York, Blumarine, Nina Ricci, Victor Higo and Tous.
