The University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) is launching a new Direct Admit Health Professions Program this fall, including a Doctor of Optometry program through its Rosenberg School of Optometry.
The Direct Admit Health Professions Program offers provisional admission into one of the university's professional programs for Texas high school seniors who rank in the top five percent of their class after their junior year. Students who enter the program receive a $2,500 scholarship each year for full-time study and must maintain an acceptable GPA to continue in the program.
In addition to optometry, Direct Admit Health Professions Program also offers professional programs in nursing, pharmacy, physical therapy, and osteopathic medicine.
