Both Prevent Blindness and the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) are offering tips and resources to help ECPs talk to their patients about keeping their eyes healthy during the month of May.
Prevent Blindness has declared May as UV Awareness Month with the goal of helping educate the public on the importance of UV eye protection. They have launched a dedicated page on their website with free information on how UV rays can damage eyes, who's at risk, and tips on purchasing the right sunglasses.

And the AAO is offering a variety of tips in support of the National Eye Institute's (NEI) Healthy Vision Month in May, including the importance of a dilated eye exam, knowing your family's history, and wearing sunglasses and protective eyewear. The AAO also offers a public information website with even more tips at AAO.org/eye-health.
