Earlier today, global eye health company Bausch + Lomb (B+L) distributed a letter to optometrists via email regarding the company's Unilateral Pricing Policy (UPP).
In the letter from Senior Vice President and General Manager, US Vision Care Mark McKenna, B+L announces its commitment to its UPP, which is "intended to encourage eye care professionals to invest the time to learn about the company’s UPP products and educate consumers, to support the UPP products as innovative offerings, and to enable Bausch + Lomb to continue to provide excellent customer service related to those UPP products."

Also this week, B+L announced it was launching a national consumer advertising campaign aimed at contact lens comfort. The campaign follows a patient throughout her day and continues to ask the question "Are your contacts still comfortable?" in an effort to help contact lens users realize that discomfort is not a requirement of contact lens wear and there are other options they can ask their ECP about.
