Transitions Survey Finds Many Consumers Disrupt Sun Eye Protection Due to Changing Light Conditions

A new study conducted by Transitions® has found that almost nine in 10 consumers — or 87 percent — disrupt their sun protection in order to combat varying light conditions throughout the day.

For instance, the survey found 60 percent of consumers stated they put their sunglasses on top of their head to compensate for changing light conditions, and 38 percent — more than one-third — reported they go without sunglasses when they need them. The study also found Millennials are the most likely to go without sunglasses with half going without them even if they need them, compared to 38 percent of Gen Xers and 28 percent of Baby Boomers.
