HOYA Vision Care and 3D printing company Materialise recently announced a partnership to co-create and manufacture parts for visualization equipment and vision examination systems for optical shops.
The first systems to be manufactured through this partnership reportedly include the HOYA Vision Simulator and HOYA EyeGenius. The HOYA Vision Simulator will allow consumers to try their new lenses in-store before they buy them through virtual reality. And the HOYA EyeGenius is a complete vision exam system with a new method to detect and correct fixation disparity.
