August 27, 2012 (Melville, NY) – Marchon Eyewear, Inc. is proud to recognize Jaci and Eric Hasemeyer, who founded ‘Walk Your Talk Walk’, as part of the Eye Make a Difference campaign, which honors and supports ordinary people who’ve made extraordinary differences in the world through philanthropic and charitable work.
The Hasemeyers grew their family of five by fostering 30 children and eventually adopting 10. They recognized that older children have a more difficult time in the Foster care system and soon with open arms provided a home for Foster children in Riverside, CA. With their compassion for these children, they realized that they wanted to keep helping by giving a positive impact on their lives and development. The Hasemeyers established the ‘Walk Your Talk Walk’ foundation, which raises funds and awareness for the foster community.
“This is the largest grant we have ever received and through your help and support, we hope to change the foster system to help so many more children and youth in America. We want to grow the ‘Walk Your Talk Walk’ by traveling to local foster fairs and opening the eyes of more communities with our vision in helping these children either by volunteering or simply being a mentor.” said Jaci Hasemeyer
Their mission statement, to treat children with love and care that is sometimes missing from the Foster care system, is something the Hasemeyers personally embrace. They’ve dedicated their lives to their children and to those in need of family, truly making a difference in their community and the youth of America.
