Area98
Genesis — Area98’s young, fresh line — presents a new eyeglass collection combining the brand's distinctive "easy" inspiration with original design details, producing contemporary frames perfect for 21st century teens. New models GV1513 (pictured right) and GV1514 both feature vintage inspiration with a modern twist — the first is a metal/acetate combo frame with a teardrop shape and double bridge, while the second is an acetate frame with a boxy design and keyhole bridge. Acetate style GV1516 has an intellectual, cutting-edge look where the bright temple colors take center stage. And GV1508 is an acetate frame with a slightly cat-eye shape and metal detail embellishments.
Also from Area98 is a new Coco Song collection, featuring a journey into the Far East with classic interpretations and modern revivals. The new models Carry On and Nobody Away feature color contrasts and decorative details, such as delicate feathers, dried flowers, semi-precious stones and enameled metal plaques. The temples of the new style Excited Evening showcases a semi-precious stone set in an enameled decoration with two dragons — an elegant symbol of strength and good fortune that completes this finely crafted frame. And the same inspiration can be found in the new style Beautiful Thing, featuring a two-tone enameled metal that evokes the scales of the imperial dragon.
Classique Eyewear
New from Classique Eyewear is the spring/summer 2017 collection from luxury eyewear brand GIOS Italia, (pictured left) which embodies the spirit of Italy by encapsulating authentic Italian craftsmanship, elegant styling, and fashion chic. Each piece in the collection is handcrafted from Italian Mazzucchelli acetates, light weight stainless steel, and titanium, and features high-quality European components. The rich color hues of the collection are inspired by the latest seasonal Italian and European runway fashion trends. And the entire collection features a balanced mix of classical, modern vintage and fashion-forward retro shapes.
ClearVision Optical
ClearVision Optical recently introduced its 2017 Kids Collection, featuring 10 new styles from Steve Madden Kids, Op Kids, IZOD Boys, and Dilli Dalli, all continuing the trend towards more grown-up styling. Staying true to its surfing roots, the Op Kids eyewear collection boasts bright hues, youthful designs, and a beachy vibe with its four new styles, while Dilli Dalli adds two new styles, including the introduction of two new colors — eggplant and watermelon. The latest release from the IZOD Boys collection includes two new optical frames that reflect the styling found in the IZOD collection for men. And this release includes two new styles for girls in the Steve Madden Kids collection (pictured right), both featuring laminated temple tips inspired by Steve Madden’s ballet flats.
ImageWear
ImageWear recently launched six new styles in its Callaway Rx Sunwear collection — Bunker, Extension (pictured left), Range, Rap, Rhythm, and Tour. Each Callaway Sunwear design features polarized, shatter-resistant polycarbonate lenses in a variety of mirrored tints. And a premium backside AR coating provides superior performance on the golf course for professionals and amateurs alike. Plus, all Callaway Sunwear designs are adorned with Callaway’s signature chevron.
Luxottica
New from Luxottica's Prada Eyewear brand is the Prada Cinéma spring/summer 2017 eyewear collection (pictured right) — a playful homage to the cinematic escape and the transformational fantasies of film. The Prada Cinéma styles stand out with a stylistic blend of sophisticated elegance and contemporary details. Drawing inspiration from the 1960’s, the collection features reinterpretations of the classic rounded shape with a modern twist. The oversized acetate front, in a range of color combinations, features thick lines enhanced by the shiny metal upper front profile. And the iconic flat metal temples — a key theme of the Prada Cinéma collection — are creatively matched with acetate tips.
Marcolin
New from Marcolin is the Timberland® Kids Spring 2017 Eyewear Collection, consisting of two new boy styles, and designed for the energetic lifestyle of today’s kids ready for adventure. The durable and lightweight benefits of stainless steel are infused in the design of optical style TB5068 (pictured left), which features a rectangular front and textured rubber accents on each temple, and is available in either a two-tone coloration of metallic blue and silver or satin black or satin gunmetal. And the handmade acetate rectangular front of TB5069 is available in rich colorations of black, tortoise or milky blue, combined with flat metal temples in a deep metallic tone, with stripes of rubber providing a sporty temple design.
MYKITA
MYKITA + Maison Margiela recently introduced new styles (pictured right) for the capsule collections Essential, Raw and Transfer, which express the beauty in the unconventional. The collaboration is avant-garde eyewear design representing the creative tradition of both houses — the reinterpretation of historical forms, radical experimentation with constructions and a fresh approach to materials.
Nouveau Eyewear
Nouveau Eyewear's Kay Unger Eyewear recently debuted three new designs with intricate etched details and jeweled accents. New style K193 features a lightweight metal front with highly-detailed metalwork on each temple, available in either shiny black or shiny burgundy. K197 (pictured left) is a classic zyl design available in black or tortoise, with gold accents on each temple adorned with jewels. And style K198 is a luxurious blend of zyl and metal, featuring a vintage-inspired front with exquisite metalwork down each temple, available in black, blue or brown.
OKIA
New from OKIA is the Starlight collection (pictured right), featuring magical patterns, precious gold foil and a play of lights. Acetate and metal are combined in the new frames’ fronts and temples, producing a refined blend of glamour and innovation for a line of rich and bold frames. The application of the patented HDA® Technology provides 3D blocks and patterns in gradient colors laminated within the acetate, and sparkling gold foil is applied within acetate patterns for a starlight effect.
Ray-Ban
New from Ray-Ban is the exclusive Ray-Ban for Scuderia Ferrari Collection for 2017 (pictured left). Tackling the curves from the inside, this unique collection echoes the aerodynamic design, materials and the colors of the Scuderia Ferrari. From the world’s most advanced lenses to ultra-light carbon fiber, super strong steel and impact absorbing rubber, these styles including three classic Ray-Ban icons, three tech focused styles and two functional frames have everything it takes to reach the top performance.
SlimViews
SlimViews recently announced the official product-line launch of SlimViews reading glasses (pictured right) — fashion-centric reading glasses featuring a unique combination of a compact, sleek design and product performance. Manufactured using an extremely lite weight, high-density TR90 material, the frames come with impact-resistant, clear transparent lenses and were designed to comfortably hug and remain on wearer's face and nose. SlimViews reading glasses are available with seven convenient power magnification levels, starting at +1.00 and progress in +.25 increments with a maximum power of +2.50. And they come in an array of contemporary colors, including Mint Green, Bubblegum Pink, Tangelo Orange and Onyx Black.

New from WestGroupe is the Back to School 2017 collection from Superflex Kids, where everything old is new again with a retro-themed collection stocked with popular acetates and colorful, detailed metals. For boys, the new SFK-173 is a trendy wayfarer-inspired shape, while SFK-174 is inspired by the wayfarer inspired shape. And SFK-176 is a snazzy rectangular shaped frame with a triple laminate acetate for a sporty, 3D effect. And for girls, new style SFK-172 is a fun acetate design with an arched rectangular eye shape, while SFK-175 features a vintage-inspired, subtle keyhole bridge. SFK-177 is a stainless steel/acetate combination frame that plays with the popular color blocking trend; SFK-178 is a retro-inspired style in a high-gloss triple laminate acetate; and SFK-179 (pictured left) combines a flattering tonal front with a bright, vivid confetti inspired temple pattern.
Also, new from WestGroupe is the pre-summer collection for EVATIK, with new models that balance comfort and luxury for the cosmopolitan modern man. Past meets future in new style E-9150 featuring a clubmaster shape in stainless steel with a carbon fiber weave inlaid in the brow line. Model E-9146 is a mono-block stainless steel semi-rimless style that combines minimalistic design with sporty detailing, while E-9147 evokes a modernized 1960’s design with its square shape, gradient coloring and dropped bridge, handcrafted from high-gloss Japanese acetate.
Wiley X
Wiley X®, Inc. has added the new-for-2017 WX Nash (pictured right) to its growing Active Lifestyle Series of sunglasses. For men and women with a love for action sports and a taste for adventure, the new WX Nash is a rugged yet lightweight frame that wraps around the wearer's face for excellent coverage and optimal field of view. Zyloware Eyewear
New for June from Zyloware Eyewear are new styles for a number of its brands, such as the new M278 full rim metal frame for Sophia Loren featuring an open metal endpiece with a braided design that continues onto the temple and is offset by epoxy-filled embellishments for added appeal. Also new for women is the Inga style from Daisy Fuentes — a full rim zyl frame with a soft snakeskin pattern on the temples. And new frames from Leon Max include the retro rectangular 4044, modern cat-eye 4045 (pictured left), and on-trend aviator 4046 with a double-bar bridge.
For men, all-American styling and classic appeal perfectly defines the masculine look of the new Stetson 340 frame, while the Stetson ZF 719 is a full rim metal frame featuring soldered-on barrels and temples for added strength and durability. And new from Randy Jackson, the stylish 1076 is a full rim combination frame packing a ton of personality, while the 1080 is an on-trend, semi-rimless metal frame that will elevate any outfit, day or night. And for Randy Jackson Limited Edition, new style X126 is a full rim zyl in a dramatic aviator shape, and X127 is a full rim zyl in a wood-looking finish in an on-trend modified shape.
