IVA can be used for traditional vision testing but also offers interactive testing. Patient interacts and tests themselves using a simple remote eliminating operator bias and recording reaction times. If the response is correct, the next presentation is harder; if incorrect, the next presentation is easier. The test continues until the preset accuracy level is achieved. Young children, as well as the elderly adapt well to the simple 4-button control.
