DAILIES® AquaComfort Plus® Toric Contact Lenses Expanded to Help More Astigmatic Patients

Global eye care company Alcon introduces a broader range of parameters for its DAILIES® AquaComfort Plus® Toric contact lenses. This range awards the lenses the most parameters of any other daily disposable contact lens for people with astigmatism. With this expansion, Eye Care Professionals (ECPs) will have access to a daily disposable toric contact lens that offers coverage for 94 percent of astigmatic patients. The new offering of 2,360 parameters includes -2.25D cylinder, around-the-clock axes in core parameters and expanded high-minus sphere powers.

“Alcon is now pleased to offer 75 percent more parameters in our DAILIES® AquaComfort Plus® Toric contact lens brand** to help ECPs better meet patient needs with a lens that consistently performs in comfort, stability and visual acuity,” said Eric Bruno, General Manager of U.S. Vision Care, Alcon.

In addition to the widest parameter offering of any daily disposable toric contact lens, DAILIES® AquaComfort Plus® Toric contact lenses provide Dual Stability, which includes tear film and on-eye stability. This Dual Stability is achieved through the combination of Blink-Activated Moisture technology that releases Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) with every blink for outstanding tear film stability. It also includes the PRECISION CURVE® Lens Design, which is a dual thin-zone design that allows both eyelids to apply equal pressure to keep the lens in the correct position.

The full range of parameters for DAILIES® AquaComfort Plus® Toric contact lenses are currently available for order by ECPs through their normal authorized distribution channel or Alcon sales representative. There will be no change in list pricing for the newly added parameters.
