 Luxottica, AOSA Create New Learning Program for Optometry Students

Luxottica Retail's Eye Care Division in North America is partnering with the American Optometric Student Association (AOSA) to create EyeFWD — a new five-day learning experience for optometry students designed to give them a better understanding of the business of eye care.

The learning experience will reportedly be focused on helping optometry students build and maintain a successful OD practice. Students will reportedly be exposed to the ins and outs of developing a business plan, marketing, inventory and financial planning, people management, self-development, and other skills.

Applications are now being accepted for the EyeFWD program, which is scheduled to take place October 7-11, 2017 at Luxottica's headquarters in Cincinnati, OH. Fifty students will reportedly be awarded a fully paid trip — applications will reportedly be accepted until August 18th, with winners notified by September 6th.
