 Smartphone-Controlled Contact Lens Under Development

EP Global Communications, Inc. (EPGL) and private start-up InWith Corp. recently announced they are developing a contact lens designed to correct vision anytime by changing the curvature of the lenses on-demand, via smartphone or other mobile devices.

Called Omega, the patent-pending contact lens reportedly features a unique design that allows both eyes to be adjusted either independently or at the same time. Chips, processors and RF antennas are reportedly designed to be housed in the surrounding patented elastic circuit structure. And the lenses will reportedly be compatible with both Apple iOS and Android platforms.
