Shamir Releases New Visual Reality App
Shamir’s innovative tool helps demonstrate lenses
San Diego, CA – June 1, 2017 – Shamir Insight, Inc launches an innovative way to experience lenses with a new VR app called Shamir Visual Reality. The app is designed to give eye care professionals access to a tool designed to increase second pair sales by giving the patient the ability to “experience” the benefits of work place lenses. The VR experience showcases limitations patients may face while using reading and progressive lenses at work, versus the benefits of utilizing lenses designed specifically for their work environment.
Focused around Shamir’s WorkSpaceTM lens design, the VR videos include three 360° immersive visual experiences showcasing the best solution when priority focus is both mid-distance and near viewing. The three videos provide the Eye Care Practitioner options based on presentation time allowance and the patient work environment needs. Offering a depth of field, up to 10ft, Shamir WorkSpaceTM provides sharp vision whether the required focus is on the other desk or a colleague across the room. It is also the best solution for those who are actively moving around their work place throughout the day, providing clarity for tasks performed within 10ft. The app is free to download and is currently available on the Apple App Store and Google Play and can be found under the name Shamir Visual Reality. The app is compatible with smartphones, tablets and can be used with a VR headset. Shamir’s library of additional videos is also available for quick access through the new app.
