 Bio-Tissue Reports New Research, Expands Cliradex Light Availability

Bio-Tissue, Inc., a business unit of TissueTech™, Inc., recently presented new research findings at this week’s American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS) annual meeting for it PROKERA biologic corneal bandage with cryopreserved amniotic membrane tissue, and announced the global online availability of its newest product Cliradex Light advanced foaming eyelid cleanser.

The studies presented at ASCRS reportedly further demonstrated the clinical effectiveness of PROKERA. They included a retrospective study across ten clinical sites reviewing the use of cryopreserved amniotic membrane for the treatment of Dry Eye Disease (DED), as well as a a prospective randomized controlled study to compare cryopreserved amniotic membrane and conventional treatments in patients with moderate-to-severe DED (as defined by the Dry Eye Workshop [DEWS] Level 2-4).

And the global Cliradex Light product launch reportedly coincides with the launch of its newly redesigned website, Cliradex.com. Cliradex Light was reportedly launched last year and is can be used for preventative eyelid care, everyday ocular hygiene and mild-to-moderate ocular irritation.
