U.K. optical retailer Vision Express has acquired Tesco Opticians, including its network of 209 stores across the U.K. and the Republic of Ireland.
The transaction, which is expected to be completed later this year, will reportedly bring Vision Express' total number of stores to 598. Tesco Opticians reportedly employs over 1,500 people and had revenues of about 90 million GBP in 2016. Vision Express reportedly plans to retain the valued experience of Tesco Optician personnel in all stores.
