Earlier this week, CooperVision reportedly issued a letter to its U.S. customer regarding an update to its Unilateral Pricing Policy (UPP), stating it would be removing from its UPP MyDay®, clariti® 1-day and Biofinity® XR toric brands, as well as customer brands where applicable.
According to the letter signed by Jerry Warner, president -- Americas, the company's UPP had been developed as a short-term program and CooperVision believes the UPP has accomplished its purpose in regards to its MyDay, clariti 1-day and Biofinity XR toric lenses.
However, CooperVision plans to maintain its UPP for UPP for Biofinity Energys™ in an effort to encourage eye care professionals to continue learning about the brand.
