Sightbox Announces 2,500th Eye Exam Booking

Sightbox — a service that books annual eye exams for members in independent eye care practices all around the United States — recently announced its 2,500th eye exam booking for members, resulting in almost $500,000 in revenue for independent optometry practices since the company’s launch.

Sightbox is reportedly a vision care service for contact lens wearers. Each membership to Sightbox includes an eye exam, contact lens fitting and annual supply of contacts. The company reportedly schedules eye exams and contact lens fittings for members at independent eye care practices, and pays the doctor directly for services at the time of the appointment. Additionally, the company has built an educational curriculum into the annual membership, which teaches members about eye health, available care options, and provides general information about the vision care industry.
