B+L Introduces Biotrue ONEday for Astigmatism Contact Lenses, Trains 200+ ECPs During B+Lieve Symposium

Bausch + Lomb (B+L) recently introduced Biotrue® ONEday for Astigmatism daily disposable contact lenses, and reported it had provided education to more than 200 eyecare professionals (ECPs) during 2017's first B+Lieve™ symposium in San Francisco, Calif.

Similar to Biotrue ONEday and Biotrue ONEday for Presbyopia, the new Biotrue ONEday for Astigmatism uses the company's Surface Active TechnologyTM, which reportedly uses a large volume of hydrophilic polyvinylpyrrilidone (PVP) and the surface active macromer Poloxamer 407 to form a dehydration barrier, helping the lens maintain 98 percent of its moisture for up to 16 hours.

And over 200 ECPs were introduced to Biotrue ONEday for Astigmatism during the year's first B+Lieve symposium, held February 27-28 in San Francisco. During the symposium, ECPs learned about the new lens and received training on fitting techniques. This year, B+L has reportedly expanded its symposium series throughout the country to educate ECPs on the company's latest toric contact lens offerings.
