General Vision Services (GVS) — an eyecare benefits administrator and PPO provider of eyecare plans in the Northeast and Tri-State region — is partnering with the nonprofit organization RestoringVision to help provide glasses to those in need.
As of January 1, 2017, every time a GVS member uses their vision benefits via a GVS eyecare provider, GVS will reportedly donate a pair of glasses to a person in need.
According to GVS, RestoringVision is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing free new glasses to disadvantaged people in developing nations. Since 2003, RestoringVision has reportedly provided over 6.5 million glasses to people in 116 countries around the world.
