Hybrid specialty contact lens company SynergEyes is partnering with European specialty contact lens manufacturer NKL Contact Lens — a wholly-owned subsidiary of Menicon Co., Ltd. — allowing SynergEyes to offer a complete line of scleral, gas permeable and hybrid contact lens products in North America.
According to terms of the partnership, starting in 2017 SynergEyes will expand its specialty contact lens portfolio beyond hybrid lenses to include GP and scleral lenses, providing ECPs with another way to differentiate their practice. The partnership will combine SynergEyes' branding, technical support and sales with lens designs from NKL. The new line of SynergEyes GP and scleral contact lenses will reportedly be introduced in January at the Global Specialty Lens Symposium in Las Vegas.
