 OWA Announces 2017 Award Winners

The Optical Women's Association (OWA) recently announced the recipients of both the 2017 Pleiades and Pyxis awards, as well as the winner of the 20th anniversary Pinnacle Award.

Kate Renwick-Espinosa, president of VSP Vision Care, has been named the 2017 Pleiades award recipient for her work in developing a broad corporate social responsibility and charity program that has provided millions of dollars in free eye care and eyewear to hundreds of thousands of people in need around the world.

Dr. Lorie Lippiatt, president of Salem Eyecare Center, is the 2017 Pyxis award winner for her work with the development of electronic medical records for optometrists, as well as her work on OWA's board and in her community.

And Corinne McCormack, vice president and fashion director of FGXI, has been named the 20th anniversary honoree and recipient of the Pinnacle Award, for her long-standing and consistent dedication and commitment to OWA and to furthering the role of women in the optical industry.
