Wiley X Raises Funds, Awareness for At-Risk Veterans

Myles Freeman, Jr., co-owner of protective eyewear maker Wiley X®, Inc., recently used his wedding as an opportunity to raise both awareness and more than $7,300 for Mission 22 — a nonprofit that offers support and resources to at-risk veterans battling Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

Freeman reportedly asked wedding guests to make a donation to Mission 22 in lieu of a wedding gift, and then Wiley X reportedly matched each donation dollar for dollar resulting in a more than $7,300 donation to the nonprofit.

According to Wiley X, the funds have already helped Mission 22 fund a service dog for a veteran in need and provide specialist medical treatment to other veterans.
