The Vision Council has recently formed the Emerging Optical Leaders Committee aimed at identifying and developing the next generation of optical industry leaders.
Reporting to the Vision Council Board of Directors, the Committee will reportedly use mentoring, training and networking opportunities to help enrich the values emerging leaders will bring to their companies and the optical industry at large. Criteria for being a member of the Committee includes employment by an organization in good standing as a Vision Council member, aged 35 year or younger, and must currently hold or be on track for an executive level role in the next three to five years.
Additionally, the Vision Council has announced a scholarship program for emerging optical leaders that would subsidize registration to the 2017 Executive Summit.
