Coburn Technologies has recently introduced the HPE-8000X, the Expert Edger — the latest in the company's finishing products for retail and wholesale lens labs.
The successor to Coburn's current HPE-8000 model, the HPE-8000X offers a number of new features including step bevel cutting, reduced lens slippage, frame shape modifications and a high performance wheel design. The edger also offers 11 different lens edge finishes and six different edging positions. Additionally, the machine directly imports and stores DCS job files, and saves up to the last three retouch jobs so users can go back and edit jobs if necessary.
