The American Academy of Optometry (AAO) recently announced the five recipients of the 2016 Student Travel Fellowship Awards, which will allow these students to present their research at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) annual meeting in May 2016.
This year's winners are:
- Billie Beckwith-Cohen, DVM, MBA — University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry
- Katie M. Litts, PhD — University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Optometry
- Zhuolin Liu — Indiana University, School of Optometry
- Chau-Minh Phan, MSc — University of Waterloo, School of Optometry and Vision Science
- Cameron K. Postnikoff, MASc — University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Optometry
Supported by an educational grant from The Vision Care Institute®, the travel fellowships help encourage optometry students and residents to attend key national meetings and exchange ideas on research.
