A&A Optical

There are now two new ophthalmic frame options available for A&A Optical's Seventy one™ collection. Made for the Millennial market, these frames feature timeless shapes with organic color variations and a unique fusion of materials and textures. The Concordia (pictured right) acetate frame has a deep oval shape and keyhole bridge available in three color combinations — crimson (with gradient color on the front and brown temples), navy (with translucent brown inside coloring), and tortoise (with olive green inside coloring).And the vintage-inspired Salisbury acetate frame fuses a classic oval shape with metal accents and organic color, available in black (with warm toned brown inside coloring), brown (with blue accent bottom), and tortoise (with olive green inside coloring).

Area98

Area98Three new sunglass designs are now available in the Coco Song eyewear line of Area98. These frames recount the charm of the Far East through the use of exclusive details such as silks, semi-precious stones and engraved metal elements. A dragon sinuously poses on the temples of the Lost Star frame, while the Sherry Blue frame (pictured left) features elegant color contrasts and delicate feathers on the temples. And the Wild Thing frame has an enameled metal seal and semi-precious stones inspired by the Orient symbolizing longevity, prosperity and health.

Classique Eyewear

ClassiqueNew from Classique Eyewear is the latest collection from singer and songwriter Lisa Loeb. The new collection features frames made from Mazzuchelli Italian acetates and durable metals, with frames available in larger eye sizes to fit more patients. Color schemes range from Loeb's classic tortoise shell accentuated with pops of colors to metal frames paint-coated in classic colors with interesting color trims and inside colors.

Also new from Classique is the Spring/Summer 2016 collection from C-ZONE (pictured right) — a unique urban eyewear collection designed and created in the Netherlands. This collection was inspired by the needs of opticians and patients, and every frame is created with three key design elements: cool, color and comfort. Made from lightweight German stainless steel, the frames incorporate the intricate detailing with the latest on-trend fashion colors. And some frames are even accentuated with elements of natural materials, such as silk, denim and cork. The frames are also hypo-allergenic and are available in a number of eye sizes.

Kenmark Optical

KenmarkThree new womens frame styles are now available in the Zac Posen collection at Kenmark Optical. New options include Billie, a full rim zyl frame with rivet detail on the temples available in beige tortoise, black, blue and plum tortoise, and Estorah — a full zyl style with metal detailing and logo on the temples available in black, blue tortoise, and tan tortoise. And Ekland (pictured left) is a full zyl cat eye with a Zac Posen logo on the temples that comes in black, blue, red tortoise, and blush tortoise. 

Kenmark also recently introduced four new Kensie styles. Soul is a full zyl style with an oversize square shape in black, pink or dark tortoise, while Kind is a full zyl style with a round shape and keyhole bridge in black, blue or red. Natural combines metal and zyl with a patterned temple and two-tone front colors available in pewter, navy or eggplant, and Talent is a full zyl rectangular style that comes in black, forest or wine.

And there's now three new luxe styles of frames available in the Vera Wang collection, all adorned with Swarovski crystals on the temples. Frigg is a full rim oval zyl with gradient acetate front colors that comes in black, berry, teal or tortoise. Nerthus is a metal semi-rimless style available in black, mocha, ruby or teal. And Sarra is a metal/zyl combo frame available in tortoise, black or plum.

Liberty Sport

Liberty SportFor the fall, Liberty Sport has unveiled two new styles of Rx-able helmet eyewear, offering a solution for young athletes who do not wear protective eyewear under their helmet due to fit or fogging issues. Sport Shift is an easily interchangeable frame with both goggle and temple attachments, offering two frames in one. And Helmet Spex (pictured right) offers a sleek and comfortable fit under helmets with soft rubber endpieces, contouring straps and vented eye rims. Sport Shift comes in matte black/red and navy blue/violet, while Helmet Spex is available in matte electric blue, charcoal fade, matte navy and metallic crimson.

MYKITA

MYKITAThe MYKITA + Maison Margiela collaboration recently added a new style to its Essential collection. The MMESSE012 (pictured left) features a pentagon-cross-aviator design and an accentuated double-bridge for a well-balanced yet both flattering and radical look.

And MYKITA has added two new styles to its Mylon collection, both a refined steampunk aesthetic. The Jiro was inspired by classic welding goggles with perfectly rounded lenses with protective side-shields. And the Levante frame features an angle-edged frame front that creates the illusion of paper-thin glasses. Both frames use MYKITA's new hinge system featuring a carbon fiber spring.

Nouveau Eyewear

NouveauNouveau Eyewear recently launched four new frame styles for its Cantera Eyewear collection, all representing a "summer of color." Backboard is a unisex zyl frame layered with black, navy or tortoise against crystal, pink or electric blue trim, while Pointguard features a vintage-inspired black front with either translucent blue or pink temples. Scrimmage has a deeper colored front with temples in neon lime, pink or orange, and Dribble features as slim metal front in satin navy or black with radiant temples in lime or blue. 

And there's also four new styles to choose from in Nouveau's Realtree Eyewear line. The R415 (pictured right) comes in black front with pink camo temples or tortoise with burgundy camo temples adorned with jeweled accents, while the R414 has sport-inspired design details and a slim front. The R412 has a zyl front and temple tips with metal trim and MAX-5 camo, and the R413 is a semi-rimless frame available in black or brown.

OGI Eyewear

OGIJust in time for back-to-school, OGI Eyewear releases four new frame designs for Ogi Kids — a bold and colorful collection of affordable luxury eyewear for the younger set. These high-tech frames are lightweight, stylish and all made from TR-90 surgical-grade plastic. The feminine IN100 features adjustable temple tips and comes in four colors, while the IN101 (pictured left) is a wearable rectangular frame. The IN102 is has a round and iconic P3 shape, and IN103 is an innovative, ultra-light frame available in four unique colors. 

 

Plan "B" Eyewear

Plan BPlan "B" Eyewear recently released 25 new frame models for its Glacée line with a strong emphasis on patterns and colors, including deep blues, gold, red and orange. The new collection also uses techniques such as embossing, foil-transfer and epoxies to create unique designs. The 6801 (pictured right) uses a foil-transfer technique on an elegant cat-eye frame, while the 6809 combines texture with a design that radiates off the temple.

Safilo

SafiloSafilo recently launched a number of new frame styles for spring and summer for its Marc Jacobs collection. The spring/summer 2016 eyewear collection features futuristic designs with smart color combinations, such as the marc 1/s and 2/s sunglasses with their shape-in-shape construction of metal and acetate and graphic lines. The marc 8/s and 9/s sunglasses feature a double-wire metal structure outlining the lenses to define a floating architecture, and the marc 34/s and 38/s sunglasses have an ultra-flat metal frame outlines by bold and slim lines for a modern look. And the summer 2016 collection features innovative designs with bold hues, such as the marc 33/s with a playful cat eye in bold color combos and the marc 54/s sunglasses (pictured left) featuring a '70s spirit and three different interchangeable lenses.

Silhouette

SilhouetteStarting in September, two new eyewear styles — Fusion and Urban Fusion — will be available from Silhouette. Fusion (pictured right) is the company's latest rimless collection featuring a new design available in eight temple colors and a variety of lens shapes for both men and women. Highlights from the collection include a Metallic Coral — a lady-like rosé gold and coral with a soft cat-eye shape — and the more masculine Metallic Graphite with a rectangular shape and dark green and metallic black coloring. And Urban Fusion is Silhouette's reinterpretation of the '40s and 50's with clean lines, innovative materials and an array of colors. Women can choose from two lens shapes and seven colors, while men are offered two lens shapes and six colors.

Tura

TuraTura recently announced it has expanded its Geoffrey Beene XL fit collection with four new ophthalmic frame styles in a broader range of shapes and colors. Style G430 features a flat metal sheet construction with wire backing, horn color laminated acetate, and wood grain texture, while the G431 frame has a flat metal brow, wire rim, and extended end pieces allowing for additional head fit. The G432 is a flat metal semi-rimless frame with a rectangular shape with a comfortable depth for progressive lenses. And the G514 (pictured left) has a classic shallow rectangular shape with masculine textured detailing on the temples.

And Tura has also added four new models of lightweight titanium frames to its women's ophthalmic styles. The R124 features a modified rectangle lens shape with a pierced open rectangular design on the temples, while the R125 has a petite soft rectangle shape with an open oval pattern for delicate-looking temples. Style R126 has a square lens shape with slight cat-eye corners for added drama, and R127 is a semi-rimless rectangle frame with a pierced open swirl design with two-tone plating on the temples.

Villa Eyewear

VillaNew from Villa Eyewear is the Made in Italy capsule collection (pictured right), inspired by the concepts of the artistic movement known as Futurism. The result of technical experimentation and cutting edge materials, the collection features six frames that are extremely lightweight with a sophisticated design. The bicolor frames have a dynamic appearance thanks to different textured surfaces — opaque and mirrored — and the use of lines. Color options include dark blue, light blue, green, orange, purple and gray. And the frames feature no-slip tips on the temples made in rubber with colors matching the frame.

Wiley X

Wiley XWiley X recently displayed four new models of sunglasses for fresh and saltwater fishermen at the 2016 ICAST (International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades) show. The WX Boss features the company's patented removable Facial Cavity™ seal to block out wind, airborne debris and reflected light while enhancing the fish-spotting benefits of Wiley X’s polarized lenses. The WX Omega has a rubberized nose bridge for added comfort and non-slip grip, while the WX Hudson has green-tinted lenses for performance across a full range of light and water conditions. And the WX Rebel (pictured left) has a Realtree™ XTRA® Camo frame that blends in with a variety of seasons and outdoor habitats.

WooDone

WooDoneNew for Summer 2016 are the Wood and Nature lines from WooDone (pictures right). The Wood line features eyewear handmade by South Tyrolean artisans, constructed from eight layers of particleboard glued one to another that leaves the natural veins of the wood intact. And Nature takes the concept one step further with real leaves or flowers adhered to the wooden frames through the use of a natural glue.

Zyloware

ZylowareZyloware plans to launch new frames for Sophia Loren, Stetson, Randy Jackson, MaxStudio.com, Leon Max, Shaquille O’Neal and Invincilites for August 2016. The Sophia Loren M276 is a semi-rimless metal frame with feminine floral cut-outs on a recessed temple design, while the MaxStudio.com 149M is a full rim metal frame with a rectangular shape and fun temple detailing. The masculine Stetson ZF 716 is a full rim pair frame made of memory metal in a navigator shape. Two new Randy Jackson metal frames — 1071 and 1072 — offer spring hinges and snap-in nosepads, while the new 112M and 115M frames for Shaquille O’Neal are metal frames available in sport-inspired color combos. For Invincilites, the Zeta 101 and Zeta 102 are both rimless frames with metal front and endpieces and signature Grilamid® temples. And there are three new styles to choose from for Leon Max — the metal and zyl combo 4035, rectangular full rim zyl 4036, and 4037 (pictured left) available in three distinctive colors.
