The deadline to apply for this year's Beta Sigma Kappa (BSK) – College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) Research Grant program, which supports optometric and vision science faculty research and optometric resident research, is coming up on August 15, 2017.
The program reportedly provides support for optometric faculty research and/or optometric resident research in binocular vision and/or visual performance issues, and the selected recipient will reportedly be awarded up to $2,000 to support their research. Recipients must reportedly submit a final report of their research findings no later than one-year post award, and recipients are encouraged to present at the annual meeting of COVD and to submit a manuscript to an optometric journal for publication.
All optometric faculty and residents at an accredited school or college of optometry are reportedly eligible to apply, regardless of membership in either Beta Sigma Kappa or COVD.
