Applications Open for New Healthy Eyes Healthy Children Community Grants Program

Optometry Cares® — The AOA Foundation recently announced it is now accepting applications for its newly unveiled Healthy Eyes Healthy Children (HEHC) community grants program, which will provide grants up to $5,000 each to doctors with projects that align with HEHC's goal of spreading awareness and increasing vision services to address uncorrected refractive error in children across the country.

The HEHC grants are reportedly aimed at funding collaborations between doctors of optometry and community resources to boost awareness and access to vision care for kids. The program is reportedly funded by the Essilor Vision Foundation, which also is supporting the program in-kind with lenses and laboratory services.
