ActiveLink Optical Launches New Marketing Technology for ECPs

ActiveLink Optical recently launched its new marketing technology for eye care professionals (ECPs) at Vision Expo East, which uses email marketing and facial recognition to engage patients in "trying on" new frames.

According to ActiveLink, ECPs that participated in a 13-month trial of the new tool increased their eyewear sales by 9.6 percent. Additionally, providers reportedly saw higher contact lens sales and professional fees from the group of patients involved in the trial versus a control group within the same practice.

ActiveLink reportedly uses facial recognition software to match a patient's face to potential eyewear types, and then sends them personalized frame suggestions from the practice. And ECPs receive lead report and analytics to identify patients who are interested in new frames and provide information on frame preference trends.
