National Vision Partners with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to Help Kids in Need

Through its inaugural partnership year with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, optical retailer National Vision Inc. and its America's Best Contacts and Eyeglasses brand have provided more than 4,400 kids and teens free vision screenings, comprehensive eye exams and glasses to-date.

The partnership reportedly included a pilot program followed by full implementation, with youth screenings across 77 clubs in 26 states. According to National Vision, of the kids and teens who received eye exams about 98 percent needed glasses.

The partnership was also recognized by the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Foundation, who awarded National Vision with the 2016 Retailer Community Support Award. Additionally, ICSC reportedly plans to donate $5,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of America as National Vision’s partnering charity.
