Independent nonprofit OneSight recently launched Focus on Sight — a program developed to create a quicker, more streamlined approach to providing access to vision care for underserved students and their families.
Through the Focus on Sight program, OneSight will work with school-based health centers across the U.S. to integrate vision care into their comprehensive healthcare approach through grants and vision care expertise.
OneSight plans to provide six new grants to new school-based vision centers (SBVCs) in 2017, bringing their total number of SBVCs to 15 by the end of 2018. Focus on Sight grant applications are being accepted now — for more information, visit www.onesight.org/focusonsight.
