Area98
Area98 offers new eyewear frames for both men and women through its Oliviero Contini brand), featuring highly elegant models made from quality materials, with neutral colors and delicate details. For men, the acetate model OV4226 expresses the brand's style through linear and square shapes, while the acetate OV4228 features a tone-on-tone band running along the length of the rod, reminiscent of the detail on tuxedo trousers for a timeless touch of class. And for women, style OV4233 (pictured right) features a unique acetate that is reminiscent, in its chromatic effects, of the manufacturing process of fine fabrics with glitter or lace. And model OV4231 is a two-tone metal frame with inlaid metal on the temples.
Charmant Group
Charmant Group recently released six new frames for its Line Art CHARMANT eyewear collection, all fashioned from Excellence Titan with styles inspired by musical bars and notes. For the Dolce collection, there are two new jewelry styles. Style XL2096 features end pieces decorated with brilliant-cut Swarovski stones, while XL2097 combines exquisite detailing with cutting-edge innovation. And there are four new styles for the Duo collection, including the sophisticated XL2092 (pictured left) and the XL2093 for the woman who enjoys dressing up. Duo style XL2094 has a TR90 injection-based front for a thoroughly modern look, and XL2095 mixes bold new profiles with classic lines.
ClearVision Optical
There are lots of new launches from ClearVision Optical, starting with four new Jessica McClintock eyewear styles for January 2017, featuring updated colorways for a brighter, more colorful collection. The Petite Fit style 4024 features two-tone colorations in a wearable, oval style, and 4025 is a metal frame with flourishes on the temple inspired by curved structures found in nature. Model 4026 is an acetate combo frame with metal and stone décor on the temples intermingling with floral accents, and 4027 (pictured right) is an acetate frame with an almond eye shape available in Purple Tortoise, Teal Horn and Tortoise.
ClearVision also recently launched six new styles for its BCBGMAXAZRIA eyewear collection, featuring a balanced mix of acetate and metal styles. Highlights include the Jenise frame with a bold, square eye shape, solid-colored front, and multicolored temples, and the square-shaped Isadora with a thin profile and custom glitter acetate on the frame's interior. And the round eye-shaped Cassidie is designed with Italian bronze and stainless steel with rope-like detailing on the top brown.
There are four new styles for men and women in ClearVision's Op Eyewear, with colorful and youthful designs taking inspiration from the surf/beach culture. For women, Rippin is a metal combo frame with a stainless-steel front and acetate temples with a multicolored abstract pattern, while Myrtle Beach is an acetate combo frame with a modified square eye shape and HD printed temples. And for men, the semi-rimless style Shred features a classic rectangular eye shape with a textured pattern on the temples, and Riviera Beach uses bi- and tri-laminate acetate materials for a subtly colorful look.
And ClearVision has expanded its ClearVision Collection and DuraHinge private label collections with new styles for both men and women. The ClearVision_Morgan is a full metal style for women featuring a delicate temple design and subtle stone details for a jewelry-inspired look, while ClearVision_Serena is also a full metal frame for women, with two-tone color plating on the frame front. The feminine DuraHinge 53 metal combo frame features an organic pattern inspired by nature and decorative stone accents, and the masculine DuraHinge 18 semi-rimless frame gets a subtle pop of color from its acetate temple tips.
eyeOs Premium Readers
New from eyeOs Premium Readers is Duke (pictured left) — a bold, fun and colorful unisex model that represents fashion, style and culture. Made from Mazzucchelli acetate, the frame is colored with dyes produced from vegetables and minerals and are available in three colorways — Orange Fudge, Starry Night and Monterillo. And the readers feature Hex-O-Tech lenses with an aspheric mild index, UV400 protection and AR coating, that are oleophobic and scratch-resistant.
Kenmark Eyewear
Kenmark Eyewear recently introduced six new sun styles for its Lilly Pulitzer collection. Adelina is a full-beveled acetate with a modern oval style, and Emiko is an oval combo style with a metal top bar and bridge and handmade block acetate front. Pixie is a modern square full zyl style with enameled rivets, while Shay is a full zyl modern square style with UV 400 gradient lenses. The aviator combination style Callie (pictured right) features a Lilly temple pattern, while Ardleigh is a modern square combination style available in Petal Pink and Tortoise.
And Kenmark has also launched four new sun styles for the Original Penguin collection. The Clarence Sun features a laminated acetate front in a modern round shape with Zeiss polarized sun lenses, while The Will Sun is a geometric-shaped combination style with acetate browns. And there are also two aviator styles — The Craig Sun in metal and The Sheldon Sun in acetate, both featuring Zeiss lenses.
Nouveau Eyewear
Launching this month from Nouveau Eyewear is the My Little Pony prescription eyewear collection for girls. Sized for girls ages 4 and up, the new collection features a mix of sophisticated styles with the unique look and magical personality of these world-famous ponies. Standouts styles from the collection include Bright (pictured left) available in pink or purple and featuring dazzling temples with stripes and stars, and Silly with a rounded front and semi-translucent design for a bold yet soft appearance. And Honesty features a vintage-inspired shape and rich coloration for a sophisticated look.
And Nouveau Eyewear is also expanding its Realtree Camo Eyewear collection with four new designs, all available in "Big Man Fit" for patients who need extra headroom. Style R421 features a deep metal front and broad temples with a camo fade at the temple tip, while R422 is a mixed material marvel with a chunky zyl front and sleek temples. R423 is a sleek metallic design available in matte brown or matte gunmetal, and style R424 comes in satin black or satin gunmetal with authentic Realtree camouflage richly applied to each temple tip.
OWP
OWP recently released new frames for its OWP, OWP Blau, Mexx and Metropolitan brands. New additions for OWP include four ladies’ styles — models 1417 and 1418 that combine proprietary exclusive acetates with stainless steel for two exciting styles, and models 1755 and 1756 made entirely of pure titanium for a lightweight and luxurious look. OWP also has a new men's style 8611 that brings dynamically shaped temples together with a fine rimmed stainless steel front piece with a faceted lug. And the two new styles for OWP Blau — 1420 and 4024 — have an almost noble simplicity, featuring narrow acetate temples in two color schemes enhanced by a purist metal decor.
New styles for Mexx include the curvy feminine trendy styles 2700 and 2701 for women that are made of metal with embossed Fifties patterns on the narrow temple, and styles 2500 and 2501 are young, uncomplicated styles for petite faces. Style 2702 is a retro yet modern frame for men, while style 2502 (pictured right) is a top-selling acetate style for women with glued in lugs. And new for the Metropolitan brand are a reinterpretation of the panto frames in a sleek, stainless steel style with model 8035, and style 8243 featuring a panto frame in a chic acetate-metal combination. And Metropolitan style 8247 is an urban design featuring ultra-casual, large square lenses in trendy acetates.
Plan "B" Eyewear
New from Plan "B" Eyewear are the latest models for its IceCream Collection, all bursting with color in never-before-seen combinations using revolutionary techniques (pictured left). Layered color applications allow for bright reds, blues and purples to reveal themselves in mesmerizing ways. Two round acetate models demonstrate an intense depth of color and clarity, shimmering from every angle. And staying true to the nature of the IceCream Collection, all models are available in flattering and feminine eye shapes with deep B measurements for a perfect look without compromise.
Ray-Ban
New from Ray-Ban is Ray-Ban Chromance (pictured right) — a revolutionary new lens for eyes that love color. These innovative lenses feature high chromatic contrast and superior quality, allowing for higher definition and enhanced color to ensure that not a single detail of the surrounding environment is lost. From lightness, flexibility and high impact strength to UV protection, enhanced color recognition and improved tracking in peripheral zones, the lens literally fine-tunes light. Special hydrophobic and colored gradient mirror lens coatings improve the lenses’ high performance characteristics.
Safilo Group
This month, the Safilo Group is launching its first Fendi Men's Eyewear Collection for spring/summer 2017 with seven ophthalmic frames and 10 sunglasses. Elegant and contemporary, the new collection plays with classic shapes and materials to combine them in unique and unexpected ways. Standouts include the Urban sunglasses and optical frames that blend metal and acetate with a contemporary twist, and the contemporary yet retro Fendi Air sunglasses that uses sharp and straight lines on the bridges for an extra-light design. The Qbic sunglasses match two leather layers with a stainless-steel brow-line shape, and the Fendi Sun Fun acetate sunglasses feature bold shapes with distinctive elements.
Elie Saab is also presenting its first eyewear collection for spring/summer 2017 through the Safilo Group with a sophisticated collection of sunglasses that celebrate luxury and modern femininity. The Couronne was inspired by the foliage motif recurrent in Elie Saab's creations for a delicate sunglass with a dream-like atmosphere. The Diamant (pictured left) are metal sunglasses embellished with a net of Swarovski crystals in different sizes. And the Chaine style is enhanced by fine twisted metal wires, adding sophistication to pure round and square frames.
WestGroupe
WestGroupe's KLiiK denmark line recently launched three new styles designed for young women and men with smaller face shapes. Women’s style K-571 is stainless steel cat-eye frame with a two-tone colored epoxy embedded with glitter for a festive look, available in Gold Caramel, Stone Black, Black Emerald and Brown Eggplant. Men's style K-568 is a nod to the past with a vintage-inspired square shape, distinct brow line, and distressed color finish. And men's K-575 (pictured right) acetate rectangular frame is an unassuming yet modern frame for men that will add panache to any style, available in Black Gradient, Brown Gradient and Grey Gradient.
X-IDE Eyewear
New for spring/summer 2017 from X-IDE Eyewear is the Azalea frame (pictured left) — a feminine style with a subtle cat-eye shape. Using a unique combination of materials to accentuate the style design, the frame uses a transparent acetate mask applied to the laser-cut front. This provides an innovative solution for highlighting the color scheme while emphasizing the frame's structure that is made exclusively in Italy with artisan craftsmanship.
Zimco Optics
New from Zimco Optics Inc.® is the Attitudes Collection for today's fashionista scene (pictured right). Throwing the "cookie-cutter" style out the window, the latest additions to this in-house collection feature stylish and chic eye shapes, trendsetting finishes, and distinctive design details, creating a line for the fashionable yet budget-conscious customer. The new styles also draw influences and inspiration from pop culture, city life, and the hipster movement from Zimco's Brooklyn hometown, featuring bolder colors, inner temple patterns, modern shapes, lightweight and durable materials, and innovative textures.
