Primary Eyecare Network Launches Online Education Portal
New Platform Offers On-Demand Continuing Education Classes
ALAMEDA, Calif. (March 17, 2016) – Primary Eyecare Network (PEN), a division of ABB OPTICAL GROUP, is pleased to announce the launch of a new online portal designed to provide eye care practitioners and paraoptometric staff with on-demand webinars and continuing education classes.
“We understand how difficult it can be for optometrists, opticians and office staff to fit continuing education courses into their busy schedules," said PEN Senior Director of Operations Matt Oliver. "Our new online education portal allows them to take classes when it's most convenient for them, whether that's at work, at home or on the road during a business trip."
Available on PEN’s website, PrimaryEye.net, the portal features a variety of courses including certified classes that offer continuing education credits upon completion. The portal also offers users specific education tracks in subjects such as opticianry, compliance, and human resources.
"Our topic-specific tracks were carefully curated to ensure that users achieve an overarching understanding of each subject," Oliver said.
Among the benefits of the online educational portal is that a user's course history is tracked in one convenient location, which can accessed at any time.
