RightEye to Create Eye-Tracking Test for Identifying Reading Disorders

RightEye, LLC has acquired an exclusive license to create a non-invasive eye-tracking test to identify reading disorders in children, teens and adults.

The new objective, repeatable test would reportedly assess eye movements used during reading to identify challenges, helping to differentiate eye movement issues from other reading disorders for earlier and more appropriate intervention for young readers.

The test will reportedly be usable by both school systems and eye care professionals and based on reading stories, norms and associated comprehension questions developed by the Optometric Extension Program Foundation. And the reading test will be used to identify and report metrics important to assessing ocular motor abilities during reading, such as words per minute, fixations and regressions.
